A recap on some recent shows.

I’m back in Boston today, and missing the road already. It was a good week and a half to be playing around the country.

Cleveland, OH- I played in a place called the Menstrual House. I discovered a few new groups, and heard some tunes from my good friend and co-producer of, “Our Dusking Sound”, Chris Bell. Plum Union, and State School are two great touring bands who also shared the night. They are all worth checking out.

Champaign, IL- Nice House Show, hosted by my new friend and folkie, Nick, from the group called You and Yourn. I got a chance to hang with one of my greatest friends in the world, John Davey, as we planned the Saint and Sinners Tour (part 2). He and I will be on the road together for the month of August. Quick stop at Strawberry Fields for a couple of pints of Kombucha.

Chicago, IL- A special thanks to the kids who drove down from northern Wisconsin to catch the first night of my two show run in Chicago. Jenifer Norback has a great gallery to play and admire the great art she hangs on her walls. She doesn’t settle for anything but the best in her gallery. The next night, I played at the Ball Hall. Had a great time, as usual. If I were living in Chicago, I’d be at every show they had to offer.

Lansing, MI- There’s no place like home. Lansing, you’re the city for me.

Ft. Wayne, IN- Hanging out with Mary and Drew @ The Fahrenheit House. Stopped by the Brass Rail for a quick drink. It’s good to know that some Midwestern towns are holding onto that great progressive attitude.

Pittsburgh, PA- Played @ Garfield’s Most Wanted Fine Art. Two bands you have to go see in Pittsburgh are Sleep Experiments, and Mother Sun. They both definitely took me by surprise. Great songs, with an amazing performance from each. Vegan Seitan Sandwich form the near by deli, followed by a great night of wandering with my Lansing friends, Cheap Girls, and Florida’s Kim Snyder.

New show posted for the month of May with more to come.

Things are new. Brand new things.

Wow. Things are new. Winter is over? I swear these New Englanders have it easy. I can remember it being cold one time, maybe two. New England’s winter is like Michigan’s early fall. I’m not even sure the trees lost their leaves.

In honor of the new season, here is a tune a recently wrote called Country Flowers. It is already being put together for the next album, which already has recording time set for September. I won’t say much else about it.

Thank you to Impact Radio for the video.
